Clear Lake Emergency Medical Services provides on-site American Heart Association courses such as CPR/First Aid training, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). We extend our services to your facility or workplace, as well as other advanced classes for Health Care Providers such as International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) at their facilities. Leading small classes of qualified students, instructors guide a participatory approach to learning that encourages hands-on experience in order to fully develop the techniques. Adequate resources are always available to students. All equipment students use to practice represents the most current technology.
Programs
COMING FALL 2022
EMT-Basic Program
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT—Basic) instructs students to meet and exceed standard knowledge needed to be a valid Emergency Medical Technician. The curriculum includes skills necessary for a student to provide entry level emergency medical care, life support, and ambulance service. The EMT—B course is an introductory course to concepts, knowledge, and skills needed by EMTs in the areas of communications, transportation, and recordkeeping. Students interested in working in public safety, including fire, police, and ambulance operators will be capable of performing the job expectations of an EMT safely and effectively after the completion of this course.

Advanced EMT Program
This program is designed to prepare you for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians’ Advanced EMT Exam and to take the next step in your career by becoming an Advanced EMT.
Advanced EMTs provide basic and limited advanced emergency medical care and transportation for patients who access the emergency medical system. Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, and possess the training and skills to perform life-saving interventions.
