The pink ribbon has become the leading symbol for breast cancer awareness.
Employees of CLEMS proudly wear the pink ribbon to bring about breast cancer awareness. We join the fight for a cure in the hopes that someday this cancer is no longer in existence. 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year. It is the second leading cause of death in women. 230,000 women are diagnosed every year with breast cancer in the U.S. An estimated 40,000 women die from this disease every year in the U.S. We wear the pink ribbon to not only bring about awareness, but to encourage early detection. Cancer does not have discrimination. The breast cancer awareness movement month occurs every October. The race for the cure is never ending. The pink ribbon is a reminder to those who wear it; to not only fear it, but to hope for the future.
